Sachin's 100 Hundred's!!! Can't tell them in Words!! :) :)

From 1 - 100: The Journey in Images

Century No. 1: 119* vs England, Manchester 1990
The journey that would see him leave all contemporaries far behind started in England at Old Trafford. Sachin's first international ton was instrumental in India drawing a Test against England and preventing defeat.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/01_getty.jpg

Century No. 2: 148* vs Australia, Sydney 1992
By the time India toured Australia in 1991-92, Sachin was already talked of as a teen prodigy. He confirmed it by scoring a big hundred at the SCG. This was also the first time that he came face-to-face with Shane Warne.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/2_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 3: 114 vs Australia, Perth 1992
In the fifth and final Test, the fact that Sachin was a special batsman was confirmed. The hundred that he scored at Perth is still considered amongst Sachin's finest ones. On the world's fastest track, he handled the Aussies' pace with aplomb. The next highest score after Sachin's was 43 by No.10 Kiran More.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/3_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 4: 111 vs South Africa, Johannesburg 1992
India were the first team to tour South Africa after their re-admission to world cricket, and in the second Test, Sachin scored his first ton against the Proteas. He also crossed 1000 Test runs during this innings.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/04_getty.jpg

Century No. 5: 165 vs England, Chennai 1993
After four Test tons in the first three years of his career, Sachin scored his first home century against England at what would prove to be a favoured ground - Chennai. His was the highest score in an innings win for India.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/05_getty.jpg

Century No. 6: 104* vs Sri Lanka, Colombo 1993
A century that contributed to the team winning abroad. Sachin's 6th ton was his first in Sri Lanka and special because of India's win. The win ensured that India won the series.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/6_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 7: 142 vs Sri Lanka, Lucknow 1994
Sachin's liking for the Sri Lankan attack continued when they toured India a few months later, with another ton being smashed. This too was a match that India won by an innings and once again Sachin was the highest scorer.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/7_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 8: 110 vs Australia, Colombo 1994
Sachin had already scored 7 Test centuries, but he took a long time to score his first ODI hundred. However, it was always going to be a question of 'when' and not 'if' he would score it, and when it did come, it was against the opponents he would love most in the future - Australia.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/8_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 9: 115 vs New Zealand, Vadodara 1994
Once he had scored his first ODI ton, it was like the opening of flood-gates. The next one followed just over a month later. The team to suffer this time were New Zealand.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/9_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 10: 105 vs West Indies, Jaipur 1994
His third ODI ton came barely 2 weeks after his second, and helped India seal a 4-1 series win against West Indies. The series had been a good one for Sachin, and he was the man-of-the-series.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/10_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 11: 179 vs West Indies, Nagpur 1994
Three weeks after his first ODI ton against West Indies, Sachin scored his first ever Test ton against them. The 179 he scored was by far the highest in the match. It was also a personal best for Tendulkar and would remain his highest Test score for quite a while.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/11_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 12: 112* vs Sri Lanka, Sharjah 1995
Sharjah was to be another favoured ground, and his 4th ODI hundred was his first at the desert venue. It helped India crush Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in a league match of the Asia Cup.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/12_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 13: 127* vs Kenya, Cuttack 1996
Sachin started the 1996 World Cup with a bang, getting to a century against Kenya in a big win for India. It was a good start to the campaign for both Sachin and India.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/13_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 14: 137 vs Sri Lanka, Delhi 1996
He continued his good form in the World Cup with his then-highest ODI score against Sri Lanka. However, India lost the match with Sanath Jayasuriya smashing Manoj Prabhakar all over, winning the match and effectively ending Prabhakar's career.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/14_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 15: 100 vs Pakistan, Singapore 1996
Sachin's first international hundred against Pakistan followed soon after the World Cup in a tournament in the Padang stadium at Singapore. However, this too came in a losing cause with the rest of the team crumbling.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/15_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 16: 118 vs Pakistan, Sharjah 1996
That was soon rectified when India met Pakistan in the same month in a different tournament. Tendulkar and Siddhu both hit tons as India crossed 300 for the first time in an ODI and won against Pakistan at Sharjah.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/16_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 17: 122 vs England, Birmingham 1996
Test century No.9 was a masterpiece. It came in the 3rd innings of the first Test of India's tour to England in mid-1996, with no other Indian crossing 20. Inevitably, India lost, but Tendulkar was in a class of his own.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/17_afp.jpg

Century No. 18: 177 vs England, Nottingham 1996
In the third Test of the same series, Tendulkar hit his 10th Test hundred. This was the match immediately after the debuts of Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid, with Ganguly getting a second successive ton and Dravid a second successive half-century.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/18_afp.jpg

Century No. 19: 110 vs Sri Lanka, Colombo 1996
After the England tour, Tendulkar was made captain. His first match as captain was typical Tendulkar. He scored a fine hundred, but once again the team collapsed around him and he was unable to prevent defeat.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/19_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 20: 114 vs South Africa, Mumbai 1996
The Mohinder Amarnath benefit match towards the end of the year saw Tendulkar tear into a tired South African attack to notch up ODI century No.10 and help India end the year on a winning note. This also meant Tendulkar would end 1996 as the year's highest ODI scorer.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/20_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 21: 169 vs South Africa, Cape Town 1997
This was the Test in which Tendulkar shared a 222-run stand with Azhar in just 40 overs. People still talk of this innings with awe, and the only reason it ended was because Adam Bacher pulled off a stunning one-handed, diving backwards catch. It couldn't prevent defeat for India, but gave them something to cheer in an otherwise lacklustre tour.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/21_afp.jpg

Century No. 22: 104 vs Zimbabwe, Benoni 1997
In the ODI tri-series that followed the Tests against South Africa, India needed to win big against Zimbabwe to enter the finals. Tendulkar duly obliged with a quick-fire hundred that set up the chase, ensuring India won with enough to qualify on Net Run Rate.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/22_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 23: 117 v New Zealand, Bangalore 1997
Tendulkar started the Independence Cup (to celebrate the golden jubilee of India's independence) in fine fashion, slamming his 12th ODI ton in an easy win for India against New Zealand. Tendulkar memorably took apart the big Kiwi bowler Heath Davis during this knock.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/23_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 24: 143 vs Sri Lanka, Colombo 1997
On a batting paradise, India batted first and three centuries were scored by the tourists - by Siddhu, Azharuddin and Tendulkar. However, subsequently, Sri Lanka batted on and on, piling up a world record 952/6, which is still the highest Test score by a team. Inevitably, the match was drawn.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/24_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 25: 139 vs Sri Lanka, Colombo 1997
The next match had a better pitch than the previous one, but it still didn't produce a result. It did, however, give Tendulkar a second successive ton. He and Ganguly (who also scored a century) were involved in a 150-run stand together.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/25_afp.jpg

Century No. 26: 148 vs Sri Lanka, Mumbai 1997
The year had not been wholly happy for Tendulkar with the captaincy pressures, but it brought some cheer towards the end with another hundred against Sri Lanka. It came in the 3rd match of a rather dull 0-0 drawn series.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/26_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 27: 155* vs Australia, Chennai 1998
Freed of the captaincy shackles, Tendulkar seized control of the first India-Australia Test with a masterful ton, in which Shane Warne was neutralized. Coming in at what was effectively 44/2 due to Australia's first innings lead, Tendulkar played a chanceless knock to put India on the road to victory.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/27_getty.jpg

Century No. 28: 177 vs Australia, Bangalore 1998
The Australian attack continued to suffer Tendulkar's blade with a big ton coming in the third Test of the series as well. A second innings collapse, saw India lose the Test, but this was a dead rubber, with the series already won. Tendulkar had scored a whopping 446 runs in the series, more than 100 clear of the second placed Siddhu.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/28_getty.jpg

Century No. 29: 100 vs Australia, Kanpur 1998
In the ODI tri-series that followed after the Tests, Tendulkar slammed his 13th ODI century - and his fastest till then - against the team that was rapidly becoming his favourite opponent, Australia.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/29_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 30: 143 vs Australia, Sharjah 1998
This was the innings that catapulted Tendulkar into national consciousness like no other before it. ODI hundred number 14 was scored in the face of a sandstorm and took India to the finals on an unforgettable night in Sharjah. India had lost the match to Australia, but it felt no less than a victory.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/30_afp.jpg

Century No. 31: 134 vs Australia, Sharjah 1998
Two days later, the final of the tournament was held. It also happened to be Tendulkar's 25th birthday, and he treated the nation to a trophy triumph on the occasion. He smashed another century, scoring back-to-back tons in ODIs for the first time - on the way to lifting the trophy.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/31_afp.jpg

Century No. 32: 100* vs Kenya, Kolkata 1998
Tendulkar was unstoppable in 1998, and seemed able to score hundreds at will. A month after his Sharjah heroics, he scored yet another hundred in a final. the opponents were the hapless Kenya, and Tendulkar's hundred ensured a smooth win for India.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/32_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 33: 128 vs Sri Lanka, Colombo 1998
With another final coming, could a Tendulkar century be far away? In the final of the Sri Lankan Independence Cup, Tendulkar went past 7000 ODI runs and shared a record opening stand with Ganguly on his way to ODI century no. 17, drawing level with Desmond Haynes, who held the record then.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/33_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 34: 127* vs Zimbabwe, Bulawayo 1998
Two months later, Tendulkar had raced to his 18th ODI ton to pull clear off Haynes. Since then, he has been unchallenged at the top of the century makers list in ODIs. The match was against Zimbabwe, and India won at a canter, thanks to his ton.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/34_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 35: 141 vs Australia, Dhaka 1998
This was Tendulkar's finest all-round performance. He smashed a huge hundred against his favourite opponent, Australia, and then grabbed 4/38 and a catch for good measure as India romped to victory. The tournament was the mini-World Cup (the Champions Trophy in its later avatar), and the win meant India progressed to the semi-finals.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/35_getty.jpg

Century No. 36: 118* vs Zimbabwe, Sharjah 1998
The year was ending with another tournament in Sharjah, and Tendulkar duly smashed another hundred there - his 20th in ODIs. This was a league match against Zimbabwe in a tri-nation series.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/36_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 37: 124* vs Zimbabwe, Sharjah 1998
In the final league match of the tri-nation tournament, Henry Olonga of Zimbabwe had surprised Tendulkar with a short delivery, getting him to fend at it and dismissing him. In the final, Tendulkar was ready for Olonga. He smashed 124 not out off just 92 balls, leading a 10-wicket rout, with Zimbabwe's 196 achieved in just 30 overs. It also saw Tendulkar end the year with 1894 ODI runs - which remains a record.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/37_afp.jpg

Century No. 38: 113 vs New Zealand, Wellington 1998
The year 1998 was a golden one for Tendulkar. India didn't play many Tests, but he ended it as he had started it: with a century. The opponents were New Zealand and Tendulkar's ton gave India a fighting chance, which they could not take and succumbed to defeat.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/38_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 39: 136 vs Pakistan, Chennai 1999
Possibly the most heart-breaking of Tendulkar's hundreds. It was a master-piece, made while battling a bad back, but when he fell 17 short of the target in the fourth innings, the team folded and India lost by 12 runs to Pakistan.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/39_afp.jpg

Century No. 40: 124* vs Sri Lanka, Colombo 1999
Sachin's 19th Test century came on another featherbed in Sri Lanka, with another drawn Test. This was part of the short-lived Asian Test championship, and wasn't among the more memorable hundreds he had scored.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/40_afp.jpg

Century No. 41: 140* vs Kenya, Bristol 1999
The 22nd ODI ton was an emotionally charged one, even though it came against Kenya. It was the 1999 World Cup, and Sachin was returning just 2 days after having done the last rites for his father, who had passed away.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/41_getty.jpg

Century No. 42: 120 vs Sri Lanka, Colombo 1999
After India's disappointing World Cup, Tendulkar was re-appointed captain. His 23rd ODI ton came against a Sri Lankan team that was a far cry from the slick outfit of 2 years ago, and helped India avenge some of their earlier defeats against their neighbours.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/42_afp.jpg

Century No. 43: 126* vs New Zealand, Mohali 1999
On a green Mohali pitch, India had been shot out for 83 in the first innings. Tendulkar then scored his 20th Test ton, while Rahul Dravid also got a century as India replied with a strong 505/3 to force a draw in the match.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/43_afp.jpg

Century No. 44: 217 vs New Zealand, Ahmedabad 1999
Just like his first ODI century had taken time, Sachin took a while to get to his first double century in Tests. However, no one doubted he would get there, and he did it in the third Test of the series against New Zealand.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/44_afp.jpg

Century No. 45: 186* vs New Zealand, Hyderabad 1999
Just over a week after his maiden Test double ton, he smashed an Indian record 186* in an ODI. This also came against New Zealand in the limited-overs series that followed the Tests. In the space of 10 days, Tendulkar had posted new high scores in both Tests and ODIs.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/45_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 46: 116 vs Australia, Melbourne 1999
The captaincy never sat heavier on Tendulkar than when India toured Australia in 1999-2000, though he was one of the few bright spots of India's dismal performance. Test hundred No. 22 was a beautifully crafted one, but almost inevitably it was a solo effort in a losing cause for the team.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/46_getty.jpg

Century No. 47: 122 vs South Africa, Vadodara 2000
Tendulkar had given up the captaincy by now, and ODI hundred No. 25 helped India win a high scoring ODI against South Africa, and take an unbeatable 3-1 lead in the ODI series that followed South Africa's Test series win in India.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/47_afp.jpg

Century No. 48: 101 vs Sri Lanka, Sharjah 2000
Sachin's 26th ODI hundred was possibly one of his least inspiring ones. It came in Sharjah, in a match that didn't see any great performances from India. Winners Sri Lanka too didn't have any outstanding performer, but played better as a team.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/48_afp.jpg

Century No. 49: 122 vs Zimbabwe, Delhi 2000
Tendulkar scored a century while Dravid got to his first double ton, as Ganguly made a bold declaration with India only 36 runs ahead. The bowlers responded and India won by 7 wickets.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/49_afp.jpg

Century No. 50: 201* vs Zimbabwe, Nagpur 2000
In the next Test, Tendulkar and Dravid switched roles with Tendulkar scoring a double hundred. This was his 50th international hundred. The batting beauty, however, meant that the Test ended in a draw.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/50_afp.jpg

Century No. 51: 146 vs Zimbabwe, Jodhpur 2000
In the ODI series that followed the Tests, India took a 2-0 lead and looked set to wrap it up in the 3rd ODI following Tendulkar's big ton (his 27th in ODIs). However, a team effort from Zimbabwe saw them sneak home and keep the series alive.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/51_afp.jpg

Century No. 52: 126 vs Australia, Chennai 2001
Test century No. 25 was among the most important ones of Sachin's career. It helped India win a nail-biting Test against Australia at Chennai to cap the greatest comeback of all time after the famous follow-on victory in the second Test at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/52_afp.jpg

Century No. 53: 139 vs Australia, Indore 2001
ODI hundred no. 28 not only brought a huge win for India, but also marked the innings in which Tendulkar became the first man to cross 10,000 runs in ODIs. The opponents were Australia, the series was the one that followed the classic Test series.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/53_afp.jpg

Century No. 54: 122* vs West Indies, Harare 2001
The tri-series in Zimbabwe in the middle of the year was a good one, batting-wise for Tendulkar. In four league matches, he was dismissed only once and ended the league phase with an unbeaten ton to guide India to a comfortable win against West Indies.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/54_afp.jpg

Century No. 55: 101 vs South Africa, Johannesburg 2001
Both Tendulkar and Ganguly scored hundreds in the opening match of the Standard Bank triangular series, but the middle-order couldn't capitalize and Gary Kirsten then smashed the third ton in the match by an opener to guide South Africa to victory.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/55_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 56: 146 vs Kenya, Paarl 2001
Later on in the same tournament, both Ganguly and Tendulkar hit hundreds yet again - this time against Kenya - and led the Indian team to a mammoth 186-run win. They also broke their own record for the highest first-wicket stand with a 258-run partnership.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/56_afp.jpg

Century No. 57: 155 vs South Africa, Bloemfontein 2001
This was the match in which Virender Sehwag made his Test debut. Both he and Tendulkar scored centuries and shared a thrilling stand, but could not prevent defeat for India.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/57_afp.jpg

Century No. 58: 103 vs England, Ahmedabad 2001
Tendulkar countered Nasser Hussain's negative line and tactics with Test century No. 27 in India's reply to England's first innings 407. It helped India stay afloat in the Test that eventually ended in a draw.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/58_getty.jpg

Century No. 59: 176 vs Zimbabwe, Nagpur 2002
When Zimbabwe returned to tour India in 2002, there were no repeat of the heroics of 2000 where they had fought hard. Tendulkar's 176 was the highest of three hundreds for India in an innings win.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/59_afp.jpg

Century No. 60: 117 vs West Indies, Port of Spain 2002
He drew level with Sir Donald Bradman on 29 Test hundreds with a fine innings that set up victory for India in Port of Spain. With better support around him, Tendulkar's centuries were no longer solo efforts and started leading to more wins for India.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/60_Hindu.jpg

Century No. 61: 105* vs England, Chester-le-Street 2002
Batting at Number 4, Tendulkar hit his 32nd ODI century in the Natwest series of 2002, but rain prevented India from winning after they had put up a good score.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/61_getty.jpg

Century No. 62: 113 vs Sri Lanka, Bristol 2002
A week later in the same tournament, Tendulkar scored another century from No. 4, and this time rain didn't deny India as they cantered to a win against Sri Lanka.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/62_getty.jpg

Century No. 63: 193 vs England, Leeds 2002
Dravid, Ganguly and Tendulkar all scored hundreds in a famous Indian win at Leeds in what was Tendulkar's 99th Test match. The win helped India level the series 1-1 against England, continuing the Indian team's upward trend in overseas matches.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/63_getty.jpg

Century No. 64: 176 vs West Indies, Kolkata 2002
Tendulkar combined with VVS Laxman to steer India to safety from a precarious position and ensure a draw during Test century no. 31. This was the third Test of a three-match series against West Indies.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/64_afp.jpg

Century No. 65: 152 vs Namibia, Pietermaritzburg 2003
This was Tendulkar's only century in the 2003 World Cup - a tournament he dominated with the bat. It came against the hapless Namibians with Tendulkar taking full toll of the weak bowling.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/65_afp.jpg

Century No. 66: 100 vs Australia, Gwalior 2003
Tendulkar and Laxman combined against their favourite team - Australia - to take India to victory in a league match of the TVS Cup. Both of them hit hundreds, with Tendulkar's being his 35th ODI hundred.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/66_afp.jpg

Century No. 67: 102 vs New Zealand, Hyderabad 2003
In the same tournament, Tendulkar combined with Sehwag this time with the opponents being New Zealand. Both smashed centuries to give India the win that would put them in the final ahead of New Zealand.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/67_afp.jpg

Century No. 68: 241* vs Australia, Sydney 2004
Tendulkar had always had good tours of Australia batting-wise, but until the fourth Test of the 2003-04 series, it seemed as if this would be the first barren Australian tour for him. However, he put his poor form behind him to score a monumental 241* in which he eschewed the cover drive completely. This was also Steve Waugh's final Test.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/68_afp.jpg

Century No. 69: 141 vs Pakistan, Rawalpindi 2004
The 2nd ODI of India's historic tour to Pakistan in 2004 was a high-scoring one like the first with both teams crossing 300 for the second match in a row, but in spite of Tendulkar's brilliant ton, India fell just short.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/69_afp.jpg

Century No. 70: 194* vs Pakistan, Multan 2004
Although Sehwag scored a triple ton, this match is almost as much remembered for the declaration that came when Tendulkar was 194*. The controversy was quickly resolved in a one-on-one chat acting captain Rahul Dravid had with Tendulkar, and after India's win, it became a side-issue.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/70_afp.jpg

Century No. 71: 248* vs Bangladesh, Dhaka 2004
Tendulkar drew level with Sunil Gavaskar's 34 Test hundreds with his highest Test score of 248* against Bangladesh. Even though the opposition was weak, the fact that not a single other batsman reached a century through the match, marked Tendukar's innings out as above the ordinary.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/71_afp.jpg

Century No. 72: 123 vs Pakistan, Ahmedabad 2005
Pakistan visited India a year after India had toured, and the ODI matches followed a similar pattern, with high scoring games being the norm. Tendulkar's 38th ODI ton gave India good total in the 4th ODI, but Pakistan chased it down.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/72-afp.jpg

Century No. 73: 109 vs Sri Lanka, Delhi 2005
Almost exactly a year after he had got to Test century No. 34, Tendulkar hit No. 35 against Sri Lanka to pull into the sole leadership position of Test centurions. This put him at the top of the list of both Test and ODI centurions - which he has remained to date.

http://specials.cricbuzz.com/events/images/sachin/uploads/73_afp.jpg

Both Tendulkar and Salman Butt hit hundreds, but in a close, high-scoring match, Pakistan won via the D/L method when rain intervened. This tour to Pakistan was not as successful for India as their previous one, but the solid performance in the first ODI saw them go on to win the ODI series after losing the Tests.

Century No. 89: 105* vs Bangladesh, Chittagong 2010
Bangladesh were a fired up side after Sehwag had called them ordinary, and it needed Tendulkar's calm assurance to guide India to a reasonable total in the first innings, in a match they eventually won. However, victory would have been a lot less assured if Tendulkar hadn't contributed 105* out of 243 in India's first innings.

The ODIs that followed saw Tendulkar push the bounds of possibility even more with the first double-century in an ODI. The record he had been threatening to break was finally broken and there was no one more fitting to be the first man to 200. From start to finish, it had been an innings where Tendulkar was in supreme control.

Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his 100th international hundred

Still More to come…

Sachin Interview after 100th century :

"It was a tough phase for me. I began the season well, but I was luckless. There was no real hype when I scored the 99th ton in the World Cup, but post that, the media blew it up. Wherever I went, everyone just talked about the 100th 100 and not the 99 scored earlier. It became mentally tough because I was not just playing for that milestone. In the end, I got to do what is good for the team. Happy to have done it. It was tough batting today and we had a score of 280-290 in mind, which we have achieved. (Gives a message) Chase your dreams because they definitely come true! I had to wait for one for 22 years. We won the World Cup - that was my dream. So keep chasing your dreams."
